Buffalo Cauliflower

Okay so I saw this online and wanted to try it because I love cauliflower. Brian is not a fan so I had it all to myself. I cooked mine in the oven but, I imagine they would also be amazing in an air fryer and rolled in panko bread crumbs after dipping in the batter. Definitely will tweak it a bit next time I make it but for now, here is what I did!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 to 1 whole head of Cauliflower (depending on size)
  • 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk (I used buttermilk but you can use regular milk or non-dairy milk)
  • 1 1/2 cups Buffalo Sauce (I just used regular Frank’s Hot Sauce and mixed it with a little ranch)
  • Ranch to dip in (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Line with parchment paper, spray, or use a rubber baking mat on a large baking sheet.
  2. Cut up cauliflower into bite sized flourets and rinse.
  3. In medium bowl, mix together your flour, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt.
  4. Add in milk and mix well until it becomes a batter with no large lumps.
  5. Coat cauliflower pieces in batter and spread across a baking sheet. ***If using panko bread crumbs, roll in them after dipping in batter,
  6. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
  7. While baking, put buffalo sauce in a bowl or mix your own to have reading to toss cauliflower in.
  8. Remove cauliflower from oven after 20 minutes is up, coat in buffalo sauce lightly and place back in the oven for an additional 20 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. ***check if you need to flip throughout so one side does not burn!
  9. Remove from oven, let cool for at least 5 minutes and serve with ranch!
